Himself, the senior manager of the theater (Rich Hutchman), and all the other employees (Ricky Mabe, Julia Chantrey, Joanne Boland, JJ Stocker, and Lisa Ng) are working to keep the theater neat for the giant premiere gala that night where they are going to premiere “Midnight Mayhem”. He also has to keep his younger siblings (Caitlin Wachs and Jacob Smith) out of the way for the premiere. He also has his girlfriend and her friend (Heather and Jennifer Bertram) going to an early movie heading into the premiere. The first act, which is mostly dedicated to the growing romance between Victor and Eliza, is painfully weak. All modern Vic Sotto film romances invariably happen the same way: he meets some pretty girl, they immediately fall in love, and spend inordinate lengths of time staring at each other. Panasonic demonstrated the 2009 version of their VieraCast system, which — as of March 2009 — will give you the ability to rent HD movies and television shows via digital download from Amazon.com’s Video on Demand Service.
